Early Sunday Morning

For the past two or three years, I’m not sure how long, I crawled out of bed on Sunday mornings at 6:30 am, I’d throw on my yoga pants, some sort of t-shirt or sweatshirt in the dark as Dennis lie sleeping. I’d go to the kitchen make coffee oh and brush my teeth. When the coffee was ready I would pour it into a to go cup and I would be on my way to walk and pray with my friends. We walked, we talked, we prayed. I cherish that time. I’m so thankful to have them still praying while I’m 2000 miles away. As I wake on Sunday morning I know they walked and prayed at 7:30 (4:30 am).

Life changes, friends move, we get separated by busyness somehow but prayer keeps us linked together. At a given time during the day a friend or relative may cross your mind. I am a firm believer that God brings that person into your thoughts so that you will pray for them. If you don’t know what to pray, pray in the spirit ask God what to pray and you can’t ever go wrong with praying the Word; Ephesians 1:16-19 and Phil 1:9-11 are great examples.

Paul, in his letters to the churches encouraged the leadership and the people of the church with prayer and reminded them that he was always praying for them; Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.

I am praying for you my friend. I count myself blessed that I am surrounded by so many that pray for me.
